War of the Green Lanterns: Prologue

The Lanterns switch out of the Brightest Day to War of the Green Lanterns. Or is it still tied in somehow?  We get some much needed background info to set up this war from the "Book of the Black".  Geoff Johns has proven himself to be an excellent writer, and able to encompass the continuity of a lot of titles and keep it straight.  So, my question is, are the avatars going to be replaced by the ones being created in Brightest Day?  Or will there just be two warring factions?  I'm sure the two stories must me connected somehow, the Light and the Dark.
